Q: Can I only use LabScheduler for technologists?
A: No, LabScheduler can be used to schedule anyone in a laboratory environment, including technicians, phlebotomists, and clerical staff. In fact, the program can be used by any group of people that posses skills and need to be assigned to workstations or duties. A simple phone consultation with Medical Automation Systems can determine whether or not an individual department or group of employees is a good candidate for the program.

Q: What kind of reports can be obtained from LabScheduler?
A: The three report types that can be generated are the schedule, interval data, and resource data. Each report type provides several options for the supervisor, enabling them to pick and choose the exact data they wish to retrieve and print.

Q: What are the computer requirements to operate LabScheduler?
A: The following requirements apply to each computer that will run the LabScheduler software. For best performance, a system configuration meeting or exceeding the "Recommended" is encouraged. Each computer that uses LabScheduler will also need to have Internet access and electronic mail configured.

Q: How many people can use LabScheduler?
A: There is no limit to the number of supervisors/ administrators that can utilize the program. The decision of who should be involved in scheduling and have access to LabScheduler is left up to each facility and is usually dependent on how the database(s) are designed to best meet the needs of all users.
